Our 4TH of July Day!

We had a very fun busy day. We slept in till 9:00 which was a great start to the day and then we watched a little history video on George Washington and how we became a great nation. We had the boys do a little flag ceremony of our own in which they marched out side and pushed a flag into the ground. They thought it was pretty cool. Avery spent her time pulling them out every time they put it back in so that was not so good. After that we got in the car and ventured into Clermont to the famous Citrus Tower. We have been wanting to take the kids since we moved here. It is really cool because you take a elevator way up to a look out tower and you can see for miles and miles. The kids had a lot of fun with that. Then right across the street they have for some reason in Clermont a Presidential museum with a fake Mount Rushmore and Abraham Lincoln statue in front of it. It was fun to look around and take some pictures. The kids were getting a little tired at this point. We went home for lunch and a nap and then went to a friends house from church and had pizza and watched a movie. When we got home we went over to our neighbors house and talked and enjoyed the company. It was finally getting dark so Avery went to bed and the rest of us went out front and had some fun with a mini fireworks show. The boys thought it was so cool! Jason had the most fun lighting the fireworks and watching them blow up. I guess its a guy thing! We then had root beer floats and waited for the Disney World fireworks to go off. Jason and I watched another episode of John Adams which is a HBOmini series that came out last year. I highly recommend it and we cant stop watching it, its very addictive. We had a great 4Th of July. Go America!
